  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 90 ml oil
  • 250 ml water
  • 3 medium free range eggs
  • 113 grams butter (melted)
  • 410 g cherry pie filling
  • 210 ml whipping or double cream

Mix the eggs, oil, water and Devil’s Food Cake Mix gently together and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.

Pour the mixture into your slow cooker, and drizzle in the melted butter. Then pour in cake batter (do not stir). Add the cherry pie filling, pouring into the centre of the batter.

Cover and cook on low heat setting for 2 to 4 hours or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.

Pour the cream in a bowl and whip with an electric whisk until soft peaks form. Serve the cake warm in bowls and top with the whipped cream.
