All You Need Is ...

Cake

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Tempting Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 75 g chocolate malted milk powder
  • 250 ml water
  • 125 ml vegetable oil
  • 3 medium free range eggs

Topping

  • 375 g whipping cream
  • 5 ml vanilla essence (1 teaspoon)
  • 25 g chocolate malted milk powder
  • 100 g chocolate-covered malted milk balls

Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4.

Mix the cake mix and malted milk powder together. Add the water, oil and eggs and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.

Pour the mixture evenly into your greased rectangular tin.

Bake in the centre of the oven for 38-43 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean, then cool on your cooling rack.

Whisk (by hand or electric mixer) the cream, remaining malted milk powder and vanilla essence until stiff peaks form. Spread it over the cake.

Prepare the finishing touch by placing the malted milk balls in the re-sealable freezer bag and crush them with your rolling pin. Scatter these over the top for a perfect finish…Wonderful!
